The roots of Aircraft Spruce dates back to 1956 when Flo and Bob Irwin founded Fullerton Air Parts in Southern, CA. During the 9 years that Bob and Flo owned Fullerton Air Parts, the company saw amazing growth which made them one of the largest retail aircraft parts suppliers in the western states. In 1965 when Flo and Bob sold Fullerton Air Parts, they started a new business named Aircraft Spruce Co. which only sold one product and that product was lumber for aircraft construction and restoration. Over the years, Aircraft Spruce added more and more products to their catalog and adopted the name Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Co. Today the company stocks everything from airframe parts; batteries; books, videos & software; GPS; Landing Gear and more.
